Welcome to Ecully

Welcome to Ecully

In the rolling hills in the West of Lyon, Ecully accomodates 18,573 inhabitants on an 846 hectares area.
The A6 highway, the beltway, and public transports, provide a good road link between the Grand Lyon districts. This traffic will soon be improved by the intensification of the rail service.

A lot of trainees and students attend the education and research pole which expanded around famous establishments such as the Ecole Centrale of Lyon, the EM Lyon Business School, the textile center or the Paul Bocuse institute.
International-wide companies or the Technical and Scientific Department of National Police settled in Ecully to benefit from this dynamic environment.

A significant natural patrimony was inherited from large properties dating back to the XIXth century and from traditional farming activities. It has been carefully saved and contributes to the Ecullois’ quality of life. Even more, such a patrimony inspires the steady sustainable development policy led today. The will to master any car traffic resulted in making the city center safer and will be carried on with new improvements, to promote sustainable transport systems in particular.

Ecully also decided to increase the social mixing in order to offer all the inhabitants a living environment favorable to exchanges.
The cultural, sports and social facilities, run by a concentrated network of associations, are regularly renewed to encourage a quality of life everyone can fully enjoy.
